The End Product - Amazing!
The Revoys show us the amount of soil that can come from an Earth Machine. (This is from their old composter).
Lifecycle of a product
This short film gives us an idea of the linear lifecycle that many products today have (and same with single-use packaging which goes straight to the landfill after use). It's time to think of closed loop systems - check out the video.
Stop by the Compost Education Centre tomorrow (Saturday)
Open 9:00am to 1:00pm - Compost Educators will be on site on answer any questions you have about your composter or garden.
Enjoy the weekend sunshine... and rain!

Great job to the Murphy Family on 99.7 The River this morning!
The Murphy Family did a fantastic job down at The River radio station this morning. They discussed some of their compost barriers such as lack of time and how they are incorporating the Compost Challenge into their daily routine to make it fun and easy. They also discussed how they are getting their compost ready with 2 weeks of the Challenge left to have "the winning recipe for compost composition".
Great job to the Murphys!

Composting Tip: Rhubarb Leaves
DO NOT put rhubarb leaves in your composter!
Why?
- Because they are poisonous
- Rhubarb leaves contain oxalic acid which lowers soil pH (this is not a good thing)
